Guidance of the 3rd Kuhlau Festival
The International Friedrich Kuhlau Association (IFKS) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2020.
The Kulau Festival was held in October 2010 at Suntory Blue Rose (1st) and in October 2015 at Oji Hall and Dai-ichi Life Hall (2nd). This is the third year.
2020 November 22: Opera City Recital Hall
2020 November 23: Oji Hall
We plan a concert for IFKS members, a piano audition concert, and an opera drama "Glasses Island". The scenario of Kozuebue's “Brillen Insel” has been published in the 2018 IFKS bulletin, so we think many people who are interested will come. The king of the island wears glasses to see things. Being unable to judge things without glasses may lead to criticism of modern people or all human criticism. Using some of the lyrics from the scenarios in this, Kuhlau composed "Komische Canon". The music for this entire opera is not composed by Kuhlau. If Kuhlau composes this opera, it will be heard at this year's festival.
