4. Godard Adagio pathetique Op. 128-3
Benjamin (Louis Paul) Godard (1849-1895), French composer. He is born into a Jewish family. He is at the Paris Conservatory and he learns harmony and violin from Vieuxtan. He leaves a large number of works across all genres. His flute work is famous for the three suites of Op.116. This "Sorrowful Adagio" is the third song of Op.128, a six-song piece for violin and piano. |
