6. Boisdeffle His Serenade Op. 5
René de Boisdeffre (1838-1908) is a French composer. See Volume 2 of this songbook. His style is reminiscent of Saint-Saens, and many of his works are lyrical, easy to understand, and easily accepted by the general public. Small-scale songs, violin or cello and piano salon-style pieces, piano trio (2 songs), piano quartet (2 songs), piano quintet (2 songs), sonata (3 violin songs, 1 cello song) There are many formations.
