René de Boisdeffre (1838-1908)はフランスの作曲家。本曲集第2巻参照。
作風はサン=サーンスを彷彿させるスタイルで､叙情的で解りやすく､一般大衆に受け入れられやすい作品が多い。歌曲、ヴァイオリンあるいはチェロとピアノのサロン風小品、ピアノ・トリオ（2曲）、ピアノ・カルテット（2曲）、ピアノ・クインテット（2曲）、ソナタ（ヴァイオリン3曲、チェロ1曲）など小規模な編成が多い。ヴァイオリン・ソナタ第2番はフルートでも演奏可能であり、ヴァイオリン・パートの他にフルートパートも出版された。このセレナーデのオリジナルはヴァイオリンのソロにオルガンとピアノの伴奏が付いている。彼にはセレナーデと題する作品は他にOp.15-3,19-5(神秘的な）、40-3（クラリネットとピアノ）がある。

6. Boisdeffle His Serenade Op. 5
René de Boisdeffre (1838-1908) is a French composer. See Volume 2 of this songbook. His style is reminiscent of Saint-Saens, and many of his works are lyrical, easy to understand, and easily accepted by the general public. Small-scale songs, violin or cello and piano salon-style pieces, piano trio (2 songs), piano quartet (2 songs), piano quintet (2 songs), sonata (3 violin songs, 1 cello song) There are many formations.
