8. Boisdffle His Canon Prelude Op. 15-1
René de Boisdeffre (1838-1908) French composer. Born in a military band family in Vesoul, eastern France, he moved to Paris at the age of five and went on the musical path. He was influenced by Gnou and Massenet in voice songs and by Laro and Saint-Saens in instrumental songs. He also has voice and chamber music, but there are many fascinating pieces of violin and piano. "On the banks of the stream" arranged for various musical instruments is famous. His flute songs include "Three Pieces" Op.31 and "Canzone Napoletana" Op.39. "Canon Prelude" is in the first of six works for cello and piano (6 Pièces). It is a song that goes lively, with the piano leading the canon melody and the cello chasing after half a bar. |
