4. Drdla Lullaby, Op. 56
Frantisek Alois Drdla (1868-1944) is a Czech composer and violinist. He is called Franz Drdla in German and he is called Franz Drdla. Born in Moravia, he studied violin, music theory and composition at the Prague Conservatory and then at the Vienna Conservatory. He toured all over Europe and America as a violin player. He has three operettas, violin concertos, chamber music, etc., but his small "memories" for violin and piano are especially famous. His style, which mixes Bohemian and Hungarian tunes, is his hallmark. This lullaby-the original song of Op. 56 is a violin and piano piece with a lyrical and relaxed emotion. |
