Petersen, Niels (1801~1851) was a flutist and called as the jewel of the Royal orchestra. He had belonged to it between 1818 and 1851. Kuhlau gave him his variation for Op. 101, "Jessonda".
Sellner, Josef (1787~1843) was an oboist in Austria. Kuhlau had visited Beethoven in Baden on 1825 with him. Op. 71, flute sonata, e moll, was dedicated to him.
